Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails thawed if frozen
  • 1/4 cup salted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Thaw Lobster Tails: If frozen, thaw lobster tails in the fridge overnight or submerge them in cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat Broiler: Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) and position the rack 4–5 inches from the heat source.
  • Butterfly the Tails: Using kitchen shears, cut down the top shell lengthwise, stopping at the tail fin. Gently lift the meat over the shell, keeping it attached at the base for presentation.
  • Prepare the Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Season the Lobster: Arrange the tails on a baking sheet and generously brush each one with the butter mixture.
  • Broil: Broil the lobster tails for about 1 minute per ounce (approximately 10 minutes for 10 oz tails) until the meat is opaque and slightly browned.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven, let them cool briefly, and serve with additional melted butter if desired.
