- 4 lobster tails thawed if frozen
- 1/4 cup salted butter melted
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Thaw Lobster Tails: If frozen, thaw lobster tails in the fridge overnight or submerge them in cold water for about 30 minutes.
Preheat Broiler: Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) and position the rack 4–5 inches from the heat source.
Butterfly the Tails: Using kitchen shears, cut down the top shell lengthwise, stopping at the tail fin. Gently lift the meat over the shell, keeping it attached at the base for presentation.
Prepare the Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Season the Lobster: Arrange the tails on a baking sheet and generously brush each one with the butter mixture.
Broil: Broil the lobster tails for about 1 minute per ounce (approximately 10 minutes for 10 oz tails) until the meat is opaque and slightly browned.
Serve: Remove from the oven, let them cool briefly, and serve with additional melted butter if desired.
