Ingredients

  • 1 pound egg noodles cooked and drained
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prepare it for the casserole.
  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  • Mix the Sauce: Add the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, and milk to the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef and soup mixture. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and stir until everything is evenly incorporated.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden.
