  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture (this helps it get crispy). In a large bowl, drizzle the chicken with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  • Season the Chicken: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated on all sides.
  • Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes. Place the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd).
  • Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) for doneness. If using drumsticks or thighs, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes if needed for extra crispiness.
