Prepare the Chicken: Season the sliced chicken with smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Sauté the Jalapeños & Garlic: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then toss in the sliced jalapeños and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Create the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
Combine & Simmer: Return the cooked chicken to the pan. If using heavy cream, stir it in now. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges over rice, tortillas, or a fresh salad.
